NYC-based Alluvium develops advanced data analytics software products that serve organizations with large deployments of physical assets (e.g. industrial equipment). Alluvium aims to empower their customers’ teams to perfect production by capturing and simplifying the complexities of their real world data.

Under After was hired to develop a visual brand language to create a tangible foundation for the new company’s identity.

A dynamic graphic motif was created to emphasize the evolving nature of Alluvium’s products (“always listening and learning”) based on Conway’s Game of Life, a cellular automation simulation in which a grid of cells interact with their neighboring cells from an initial seed pattern. In this case, the lifespan of each cell goes from light to dark.
